Update 3 from Waterfront and Canalfront Association concerning Tropical Storm Sally
As I mentioned previously, things can change with these storms. The projected track has again been shifted eastward by the Hurricane Center on their most recent advisory, to come “ashore” over Mobile Bay. Good news is the lowered intensity. You can check the advisories for the reasoning, but it does appear to be weakening.
The local forecasts still call for at most 30 mph gusts, but as anyone who has looked at the canal can tell, the levels are right at or slightly above most dock levels. Hopefully this is as bad as it gets with the high tide. Lots of rain though still to come.
Looks like the Canal will survive this one with minimal impact, but still good to keep an eye on Sally. I will probably not post about her again, unless significant and negative changes present. Thanks again for your attention and preparation!
