The BPCA BOD is having a special meeting on Tuesday 5/25 to discuss and vote on executing an agreement “The Article of Agreement” between Devco BT Marina LLC and Bay Point Improvement Association( BPCA). Devco BT Marina LLC is the limited liability company under contract to purchase the property formally known as Bay Town Condominiums and its surrounding property. The purpose of this agreement is primarily to keep our BPCA Post Office open on the same Baytown Parcel with this agreement ultimately leading to a new Post Office.
The sale of the property is scheduled to close the first week of June and will be a mixed use development with condos and commercial space. The agreement contains language regarding the demolition and rebuilding of a stand alone post office of no less than 2000 square feet on the corner of Marriott Drive and Kingfish Road that will be leased to BPCA. The document also contains language regarding a temporary facility to house the post office during the construction phase.
Additionally, the condominium units will become members of BPCA and will be governed by BPCA Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions. If you have any questions, feel free to attend the 5/25 meeting at 5:30pm.
Disclaimer: The Baytown sale is not within the control of BPCA and the details can change. The BPCA BOD will do our best to keep all residents informed of anything that effects the continuing operation of the Post Office.
