PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Panama City Beach city leaders are extending its boil water notice impacting more than 20,000 customers.
City leaders say efforts to install a short bypass from the Bay County water supply on the city’s main water transmission line failed Sunday night.
They say they will now have to shut off water to all Panama City Beach utility customers from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.
The boil water notice is expected to be lifted 48 hours after the line is repaired. City leaders believe that will be Thursday night.
