- Tree Straightening
- Roofing Nails
- Christmas Party
Fence Activities: Restoration and replacement needs are being considered for BPCA community fencing. BPCA is asking for quotes to replace the fence along Magnolia Beach Road (wooden fence) and to restore and/or replace the Wahoo Road fence (chain link). Quotes for the Magnolia Beach Road will include both a 6 foot and 8 foot fence height option.
Roofing Nails: The sound of chainsaws has been replaced by the crack, crack, crack of the roofer’s nail gun. This passage from the saws to the nail guns is a welcome change that sings to the Hurricane Michael recovery progress being made throughout Bay Point. Please ask your roofing contractor to “sweep for nails” every day. Your roofer should have a magnetic device that allows them to pull up the majority of the loose nails around your property. Asking the roofer to perform these sweeps greatly reduces the likelihood that you or your neighbors will suffer a flat tire.
Debris removal: Work continues in the community to haul off trees, trash and other debris. The trucks have begun making their way down the side streets and cul-de-sacs. Continue to put your debris along the roadway as the trucks will make additional passes through the community. Bay County has mentioned that debris removal is scheduled to complete around the end of year. We will keep you updated on this subject.
Tree Straightening: BPCA and our contractors are in the process of assessing what trees can be straightened and saved in the common areas. Crepe Myrtles and Magnolias that are leaning but not broken are currently being assessed.
Christmas Party: Santa Claus is coming to Bay Point! He will arrive here on December 14, 2018 in Marina View Park. The time of the events is 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Santa’s visit will coincide with the annual lighting of the BPCA Christmas Tree. There will be lots more fun in the park including presents for kids, visits with Santa and Christmas Caroling. Come on out and enjoy some Bay Point Christmas Cheer!
