The long awaited start of the 2019 Men's Golf Association (MGA) tournament schedule commenced Friday, March 8, on Bay Point's Nicklaus course. Bay Point Golf Club and the Sheraton Bay Point Resort announced the Grand Re-Opening of the Nicklaus Course. “The course will reopen on October 6th, 2018 with a team golf outing and musical festivities” said Ryan Mulvey, General Manager. Congratulations to Bay Point's Bill MathewsÂ for scoring a hole-in-one on the 10th hole of the Nicklaus course. Mathews used a wedge to ace the hole which was playing about 105 yards on Friday, January 19th. As a member of the Men's Golf Association Hole-in-One Club, Bill will receive a cash bonus for his accomplishment. Playing with Bill and witnessing the shot were Bay Point members, Brian Cornelius and Dennis Evans.
